The Ascension Process
Interesting things have been happening in our world recently. When I say “our world” I mean that what is happening in our private life is a reflection of what is happening in the world at large. We are engaged in a battle between the light and the dark. We are experiencing the ascension process which means we must choose who is in charge in our life – our higher self or our ego. Our choice will determine whether we are to stay in the 3rd dimension or whether we qualify to ascend through the 4th dimension to the higher consciousness of the 5th dimension.
I came across an article the other day which really helped me understand the difference between the 3rd, 4th and 5th dimensions. You can read it at http://in5d.com/what-do-you-mean-the-3rd-dimension-is-going-away/.
By awakening we start to move from the 3rd dimension to the 4th dimension by becoming aware of our spiritual nature and the multidimensional reality we live in, which is a far cry from the limited, Newtonian world of the purely physical where we react to circumstances and we’re ruled by logic and the ego.
The way we move into 4th dimensional consciousness is through the practice of mindfulness. We develop awareness of our thoughts and emotions and become detached observers of our experiences rather than allowing ourselves to be absorbed in them and reactive to them. We exercise conscious choice in the present moment to create the next step towards the outcome we want to achieve. In doing so we learn how to manifest our intentions.
So what does that mean in practice? It means that we are being tested with experiences that challenge us to see whether we react with the 3rd dimensional behavior of anger, fear, judgment, and allow the ego to take charge, or whether we respond from inner strength, detachment, modesty, love, gentleness and acceptance of the present moment.
Given that our soul purpose is to ascend out of the 3rd dimension through the 4th dimension to the 5th dimension of full consciousness, our life purpose brings us into environments where we experience situations that stimulate our growth in consciousness – evolutionary catalysts. Change and growth only come from challenges and adversity, so these experiences are essential in order for us to qualify for the next level of being.
The key factor in this process is the ability to manifest. When we become conscious – mindful of our thoughts and emotions – we develop our ability to manifest “on purpose”. We become fully empowered creators. Our skill in manifesting desired outcomes develops as our ability to maintain mindfulness increases. The 5th dimension is one in which manifestation is instant, so imagine the consequences if we had no control over our thoughts and allowed negative and destructive thoughts into our consciousness.
So, we have to pass our exams in the 4th dimension in order to ascend to the 5th. We have to consistently maintain mindfulness and higher consciousness when challenged by 3rd dimensional experiences. Just like school, we go up the grades and the tests become harder as we get closer to graduation.
It takes real effort and constant self-awareness to maintain a higher consciousness in difficult situations, but, in the words of the I Ching,
“Difficult situations tempt us to doubt the power of humility, acceptance, and correct behavior. We long to abandon our inner balance and lash out. It is just at such moments that it is most important to cling to what we know to be good and true and correct. By doing this we obtain the aid of the Higher Power.”
(from I Ching – by Brian Browne Walker)
It is easy to follow “proper principles” when things are going well. It is when we face our biggest challenges that we are fully tested. If we abandon them and allow our ego to take over we are likely to create disaster for ourselves. If we maintain consciousness, stay focused on our intended outcome and trust in the Higher Power, we will achieve success, prosperity and happiness.
