Wealth is Not Just About Money

As mentioned, the term wealth doesn’t just describe how much money you have. You can also use the word to describe the people in your life and your satisfaction with your life in general.

Wealth is a very complex topic, but we’ll cover some of the basics here. We’ll start with the traditional definition of wealth, and then we’ll move on to what I like to call “wealthiness” — the new definition of wealth.

Traditional Definition of Wealth

The dictionary defines wealth as: The quality or state of being wealthy; an abundance of property, income, etc. , that is regarded as valuable and desirable. But true wealth goes far beyond just material possessions.

You could say that I am wealthy because I have a wonderful soul family, good friends, and a fulfilling career. But my wealth also comes from having the courage to follow my dreams and pursue my passions, from living a healthy lifestyle, and from enjoying the blessings of the many gifts I was given by God. My wealth is not just about my material possessions or my income. It’s about the people I love and the experiences I share with them. Wealth is the accumulation of experiences in your life.

What is wealth to you?

  • If you have a close relationship to your family, you are wealthy.
  • If you love waking up in the morning and get satisfaction out of your job everyday, you are wealthy.
  • If you have friends who love you as their own family, you are wealthy.
  • If you have a strong faith, you are wealthy.

Living an abundant life simply means being happy in all aspects of your life and having the resources to care for yourself and your family. Obviously you won’t be happy every minute of every day, but if you are usually well taken care of, then you already have an abundant life.

How to Build Wealth

If you want to build the wealth you want and deserve, you need to have a positive mindset. You need to believe that you can get what you want, that you have the power to get it, and that it will be delivered to you in your lifetime. When times get tough, you’re more likely to give up if you don’t have this mentality.

Loving yourself is also of great importance. You have to love yourself first if you want to receive love from others. If you don’t have love from others, you won’t lead the life you desire.

We can’t change the world unless we start by changing ourselves. But if we change ourselves, we can change the whole world. And if we change ourselves for the better, there’s no reason why we can’t or shouldn’t live an abundant life.
