Negative thinking is a recipe for disaster!
If you understand the principles of manifestation, you’ll know that you get what you focus on – every thought, and the feelings that accompany it, carry energy that is the fuel for manifestation. When you allow negative thinking into your consciousness, you are more than likely going to manifest a negative outcome.
Negative thinking will also make you feel unhappy, frustrated, and angry – hardly the recipe for a joyful life!
Negativity is rampant in the media. It is all over the television. The news or even your favorite television shows contain negativity. You face it at work and even at home. You see it online as well – those argumentative threads on social media that are full of negative energy. It will invade your life if you allow it to.
What if you could picture your brain as a processor that takes negative thinking as input and converts it to positive thoughts? Your brain is a powerful processor and if you can think in these terms, you can combat the negative thinking.

How to Become a Positive Thinking Expert
On your transition to expert status, the first step is to stop yourself from overreacting to what people say.
When someone says something you don’t agree with, take a moment to consider what they are saying. When you get annoyed at others, you stop listening to them and only want to get your point across as to why they are wrong. Instead, after he or she speaks (or writes), take a moment and consider what the message is.
The next stage is to try and see the other person’s point of view. If you have a difficult time doing this, calmly ask questions of the person making the statement. You can say that you don’t understand the reason for the statement and would like to know more about why they said it. Stay calm!
You don’t have to agree with the other person, even after you start to process what they say. But, the act of listening and considering their point of view will transform you.
You may start to challenge your belief system. Sometimes, you can get so focused on a belief even when the reason why you feel that way has changed. When you start to question your beliefs, you will consider what others have to say more openly. The process will help you turn negative thoughts into positive ones.
Negative thinking is a form of self-sabotage. If you challenge what everyone says as wrong if they don’t agree with your way of thinking you will become bitter towards others, alienate people and even destroy your relationships. You will also close yourself off from new possibilities, personal growth, and learning if you shoot down every suggestion. This type of thinking doesn’t make people happy.
When you start to open yourself to others and open your mind to new ways of thinking and being you will learn more and be accepting of different beliefs. You will become enlightened and on a path of continuous personal development.
Now THAT is the recipe for a life of inner peace, happiness, and prosperity!
