When negative beliefs and assumptions start to consume you, you will sabotage your dreams of success and undoubtedly be unhappy in your life. However, if you have a positive mindset, then you’ll live a much happier life.
Ultimately, our perception is our reality, so actively changing the way you look at life can make all the difference. A negative mindset will cloud your judgment, making it difficult to tell when negative thoughts are outside of yourself or a part of your inner psyche.If negative thoughts and emotions constantly fill your mind, it is time to change your mindset. Sign #1 You Constantly Focus on What’s Wrong
Do you tend to fixate on your worries and disappointments rather than focusing on the things that are going right in your life? This is a sure sign that your current mindset is contaminated by negativity. While there may be a lot of bad things happening at the moment, chances are that there are at least some aspects of your life that are going well. To shift your thinking from one of negativity to that of positivity, take some time to be thankful for the good things in your life, no matter how small. “You get what you focus on” is one of the primary laws of manifestation, so when you repeatedly focus on what is wrong with your life you’ll find that things get worse, not better because that is what you are unconsciously manifesting.
Sign #2 You Forget to Celebrate Your Victories
When you don’t take the time to celebrate the moment when something goes your way, it’s because you don’t believe it’s a victory. You think that it is trivial rather than an essential step on the road to success. When you do this, you are sending yourself a negative message that you aren’t making progress and that you don’t celebrate your victories because you doubt that you will ever achieve your ultimate goal. It is the small steps we take that make up the big leap forward and by celebrating every achievement you are not only building your sense of self-worth but you are also fuelling the manifestation process. Remember, success breeds success!
Sign #3 You Don’t Want to Face Your Problems
Continually complaining about reality isn’t going to change a thing, in fact, it’s going to make things worse. When you complain about everything, it is nothing more than a failure to acknowledge that YOU have the POWER to change your circumstances. Not everything in your life is something that you can control, but you CAN control how you respond to it. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging that a problem exists because if you don’t face the problem you can’t deal with it. Once you acknowledge that the problem exists, immediately shift your focus to the solution. What is your ideal outcome in this situation? Then consider what steps you can take to achieve it. You are only a victim of circumstances if you allow yourself to be.
Sign #4 You Get Angry When Your Expectations Aren’t Met
If you always find that your expectations aren’t being met, it means that your expectations were unrealistic, to begin with, or that you weren’t taking the necessary steps to achieve those expectations. Our expectations are a large part of our mindset and are what we believe to be possible or necessary.

The only person you can expect something of is yourself because only you have the power to make them happen. If you expect things of other people you are very likely to be disappointed. Let go of expectations of anyone except yourself and you will be on the road to happiness.
Changing your mindset isn’t easy, but it is one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself on your journey to success.
